Guitarist Gary Moore found dead in hotel in Spain

The rock guitarist Gary Moore, former member of the group Thin Lizzy, was found dead Sunday in a hotel room in Spain, announced the group's manager.

Gary Moore, 58, debuted in the Irish group Skid Row before joining Thin Lizzy.

Born in Belfast (Northern Ireland), Gary Moore also conducted a solo career between his two spells with Thin Lizzy, and collaborated with George Harrison, Beach Boys, and Ozzy Osbourne.

The founder of Thin Lizzy, Brian Downey, paid tribute to the guitarist. "I am deeply shocked. He will always be in my thoughts and my prayers. I just can not believe that is not here anymore, " he said.
